Re-Opening BBQ Celebration

To celebrate the return of the new Squash Courts, Monmouth Squash Club held a fancy dress doubles competition on Saturday 19th August
The fancy dress doubles consisted of 10 players who all paired up in there amazing outfits to play a round robin versus the other pairs.
Five pairs all battled it out against one another leaving the points table very close meaning a play off for the top two pairs was in order.!!
The finalists were Avtar Saran/ Rory Sheppard and Clare Catto/Mike Rhys Williams and in a closely contested final Avtar and Rory sneaked the victory on the last point coming back from 5 match points to win 15-14!
Many thanks to all the players who competed and all the family members that came to support.
All members were very pleased with the new facilities and can’t wait to start the season. Club Coach, Tej Saran is also pleased to be back and can’t wait to rebuild the club to where it was 12 months ago!
